"“Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there”. They are non existent when you need them. I will say that Aida and Peyton are great and try really hard to help. But the actual agent is non existent just like the actual company. I’ve had 3 claims this year. One windshield, and 2 storm. Everyone of the claims have been the most difficult to get anything done. The agent and staff are unable to help with the claims process. Me the person who pays for the “good neighbor service” have had to do everything from file the claim, follow up, etc. WORST AGENT OF THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY. So disappointed and disgusted with the service SF provides and the agents inability to handle that process. Has caused me a lot of “out of pocket” expenses just trying to utilize something that I have paid for."
"Good morning, Dave. I just left you a voicemail in efforts to address your frustration and hope we can get the opportunity to connect. First, I want to apologize for the frustration you’ve experienced with State Farm claims department. The St. Louis / Jefferson County area has experienced unprecedented tornado/wind/hail losses this year which has caused historic claim volumes in which State Farm has never seen. The State Farm claims team is working overtime to help every customer in need, but response times are admittedly a bit longer than normal due to the sheer volume of claims to be managed. After speaking with my team member who you spoke with yesterday, I understand that the most pressing frustration is that damage from a Collision accident was not covered under the open Comprehensive/Weather claim. This decision is solely based on the dates and facts of the loss as well as the coverage used to pay out on it. All claim decisions are made by the State Farm claims department and not by Agents or their staff at the local level. With this said, as these are 2 separate losses with 2 separate damages, 2 separate claims would have needed to have been filed to get both damages covered. We stand by the decision of the State Farm claims team due the fact that attempting to receive reimbursement for prior, unreported damage that is unrelated to the loss on the open claim is considered insurance fraud and not something that any insurer would support or permit. Pertaining to the inherently false allegation I am “non-existent”, I spend 50-60 hours/week in-office meeting with customers to review policies, help them understanding their coverages, evaluate their needs for life insurance and when it’s time to step in, even helping get traction on claims that have stalled. Due to the volume of customers I serve each day, I am available by appointment & lean on my staff of specialists to help with the day-to-day. I have yet to be informed by any member of my staff that you have requested to meet with me to review any of the three claims. I take a great sense of pride in making myself available to all customers as early as 8:00 am and as late as 7:00 pm any weekday and 10:00 am to 2:00 pm most Saturdays along with offering home appointments for those that have difficulty traveling. You are absolutely entitled to your opinion, and I am truly sorry to hear that you have been frustrated every step of the way on the three claims you have filed this year. But your proclamation that we are not here for our customers is not supported by the majority of our customer base. I am a phone call away should you wish to return my call and discuss the specifics of your current claim. Thank you for your business and have a great day."
